With the advent of fast food and unhealthy eating habits adopted by a young five-year-old hedgehog, obesity, and diabetes, along with other serious health complications, have permanently increased over the past few decades. 

Of course, then comes health intervention – often in the form of a nutritionist.

Both dietitians and nutritionists are professionals and are defined as experts in eating habits and general nutrition. Owners of these two professions often share their experiences in the form of nutrition consultations in the health sector, in state and private institutions. 

However, nutritionists usually require an academic degree and must earn a postgraduate or master's degree in dietetics or even a bachelor's degree in dietetics to obtain a license to practice medicine.

Nutritionists, on the other hand, do not need any professional qualifications and can continue their education on their own. So, all nutritionists are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are nutritionists.

Different countries around the world regulate nutritionists and nutritionists in different ways to provide appropriate and up-to-date practices that can help their patients.
